We're looking for an experienced Operations Software Engineer to build and own the integrations, automations, and internal tools that Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, and Finance rely on every day.
🎯 Your mission
Join the Operations team as its software engineering backbone. You’ll help bring clean architecture, testing, observability, reliability, and maintainability to a large distributed ecosystem of business systems, including CRM, marketing automation, data warehouse, classroom, billing, and logistics platforms.
🚀 Responsibilities
- Build and own integrations between core systems, including Salesforce, Iterable, the Classroom Manager platform, Jira, the data warehouse, billing systems, and others.
- Implement robust error handling, retries, idempotency, and monitoring.
- Develop on the CRM platform using Apex, Lightning Web Components, and Flows, replacing no-code complexity with maintainable, tested code where appropriate.
- Design data pipelines and synchronization processes that keep systems consistent at scale.
- Diagnose data drift caused by data quality issues, API limits, payload edge cases, and other failure modes.
- Create internal tools and services that automate manual processes for Revenue and Operations teams, from scripts to full applications.
- Apply software engineering standards, including version control, code review, CI/CD, environment management, documentation, and incident post-mortems.
- Participate in incident resolution across the Operations ecosystem, identify root causes, and implement structural fixes to prevent recurring issues.
- Evaluate build, buy, and configure options using sound technical judgment, while clearly communicating trade-offs and costs.
- Collaborate closely with Engineering and Data to ensure Operations systems and the product platform evolve coherently.
- Use AI agents and automation tools to accelerate development and design AI-assisted workflows for the business.
- Mentor colleagues with hybrid or less technical profiles and help raise the team’s technical standards.
🛠️ Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional experience as a software developer in backend or full-stack roles.
- Strong software engineering fundamentals, including data structures, APIs, testing, version control, and debugging complex systems.
- Strong command of at least one general-purpose language: Python, TypeScript/JavaScript, Java/Apex, or PHP.
- Willingness to learn additional programming languages quickly.
- Experience designing and consuming REST or GraphQL APIs, working with webhooks and asynchronous processes, and handling their failure modes.
- Good SQL skills and comfort working with data models and analytical data, including data warehouses and ETL/ELT processes.
- Strong technical judgment, including the ability to understand trade-offs, write maintainable code, and recognize when not to build something.
- Interest in the business context behind technical work and the ability to understand the needs of Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success.
- An early-adopter mindset toward AI coding agents and automation tools.
- High autonomy and ownership, with the ability to turn an unclear operational challenge into a reliable solution.
- Fluent English and conversational Spanish.
➕ Nice to have
- Experience with Salesforce development, including Apex, Lightning Web Components, SOQL, and deployments, or experience with another enterprise CRM.
- Experience with iPaaS or automation tools such as Make, Zapier, or n8n, including an understanding of their limitations.
- Experience with Databricks, dbt, Metabase, or a similar data stack.
- Background in marketing automation platforms such as Iterable, HubSpot, or Braze, including email and data deliverability.
- Experience with cloud infrastructure, particularly AWS, and infrastructure as code.
- Previous experience in a B2B or edtech company.
- A degree in Computer Science or a related field. Demonstrated ability is valued above formal education.
💻 Technology environment
You’ll work with Salesforce, Iterable, Make, Databricks/dbt, Metabase, Jira, and Classroom Manager APIs, alongside web, mobile, and data platforms built by Engineering teams. You don’t need experience with every technology listed; strong engineering fundamentals and the ability to learn quickly are essential.
