We're looking for a driven and collaborative DevOps Infrastructure Engineer with expertise in building, optimizing, and maintaining end-to-end infrastructure processes and orchestrations for complex production environments.
🎯 Responsibilities
- Take ownership of ambiguous topics and lead small to medium technical initiatives at the project, squad, or product level.
- Design, build, harden, and maintain end-to-end lifecycle processes and workflow orchestrations.
- Develop custom internal tooling and self-service abstractions to simplify service consumption for internal customers.
- Manage infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles, ensuring strong security, monitoring, and logging.
- Troubleshoot complex issues across distributed environments, coordinating across multiple teams and making strategic technical decisions.
- Identify process gaps in Agile and DevOps practices and implement best practices to improve operational reliability.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders and maintain a strategic view of technical components within overall product goals.
- Mentor junior engineers and share knowledge at internal and external events (e.g., DevOps Days, Tech Talks).
- Align team and individual development with global strategy and participate in projects beyond regular scope.
- Manage complex infrastructures, CI/CD pipelines, and orchestrations for large workloads in production environments.
🛠️ Requirements
- Proven experience managing large-scale production environments with complex workflow orchestrations.
- Experience mentoring junior engineers and fostering effective team collaboration.
- Track record of identifying and closing gaps in Agile and DevOps practices by bringing in external best practices.
- Familiarity with stateful workflow orchestration engines, especially Temporal.io (or similar such as Cadence).
- Advanced skills in at least one programming language (Python, Go, Ruby, Rust, JavaScript) for tooling and SDK development.
- Strong terminal expertise, including scripting (Bash/PowerShell), networking tools, and process monitoring.
- High proficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, Ansible, CDK), advanced Docker containerization, and version control using Git.
- Experience building and maintaining CI/CD platforms (Gitlab CI, Jenkins, GitHub Actions) and using monitoring, logging, and tracing tools (Datadog, Elastic Stack, Grafana, Jaeger).
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with a developer-first mindset.
- Proactive approach to continuous improvement and leading complex troubleshooting across multiple teams.
➕ Nice to have
- Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Experience with Linux operating systems (Ubuntu/Debian, SUSE, RHEL).
