Factorial's job offers
Senior Product Engineer - Operations Domain
Hello!
Do you want to help us redefine how AI powers the future of Business Management software, not as an add-on, but as a core part of how people work, decide and grow?
We’re looking for engineers who:
- Treat AI as central to their craft, not a feature to bolt on later
- Want to build and ship, not debate and document
- Care about whether the thing they built actually worked — not what their title says.
Ready to be part of the challenge? 🚀
At Factorial we're looking for a Product Engineer to help us build and scale our AI- Driven Operations Domain to the next level. As part of this team, which is in charge of providing tools to managers and HR managers in the areas of recruitment, performance, engagement, and trainings, you'll be at the forefront of developing tools and help to improve the way companies take care of their people, their most valuable asset.
About the team 👥
Our Engineering team is the engine behind Factorial, crafting the tech that makes HR simple, fast, and reliable for thousands of companies. If you love solving hard problems and want to build something that truly matters, come build it with us.
We're a team of 200+ Product Engineers building Business Management solution that actually works for the people using it. Our core stack is Ruby on Rails and React but the interesting work right now is what we're building on top of that: agentic workflows, LLM-integrated features, systems that behave probabilistically rather than deterministically.
The Operations domain sits at the core of Factorial. This is where we build the systems that run the day-to-day reality of work for thousands of companies, systems that must be accurate, compliant and reliable.
To do this, we provide tools to managers and HR managers in the areas of time management, employee lifecycle, and compensation. But we know there is space for more! That's why we need talented people to go faster.
What are we looking for? 🎯
- You've shipped AI-powered features and know that evaluating them in production is the hard part, not building them. You think about reliability and user friction before model complexity.
- You're comfortable reviewing agentic workflows and have opinions about LLM architecture tradeoffs. Not just theoretical ones.
- You stay current: RAG patterns, agentic frameworks, what's actually working vs. what's hype and you apply that judgment to real product decisions.
- You treat AI features as hypotheses. Build, deploy, measure, adjust. You own that whole loop, not just the build part.
- You can break down non-deterministic outputs into something the rest of the team can reason about and act on.
- You’re comfortable working with Ruby on Rails & React and understand how to integrate AI models into scalable, cloud-native environments.
- You help teammates who are transitioning from deterministic to probabilistic thinking, not by lecturing, but by working through it together.
- 4+ years in software engineering, with some track record (or serious curiosity) around shipping AI features.
- You can explain a complex technical decision in English to someone who doesn't write code clearly, without condescension.
What You’ll Be Doing?
- You'll spend more time designing systems than writing syntax. That means breaking down complex tasks, defining architecture, and writing high-level prompts that instruct multi-agent systems to generate the underlying code.
- You review and validate what the agents produce. Security, scalability, structure, that responsibility sits with you, not the model.
- You'll work on orchestrating multiple AI agents running in parallel, keeping them in sync and making sure the output is coherent across the whole feature.
- There's no established playbook for a lot of this. You'll define your own workflows, experiment, and share what works because the team moves fast enough that information silos are a real risk.
How We Work 💻 (Barcelona, Madrid or A Coruña Office)
At Factorial, we believe the best products are built when people come together, in person to collaborate, challenge ideas, and move fast. That’s why our Engineering Teams follows an office-first, flexible schedule.
We work on-site several days a week, using that time to connect, align, and innovate as a team. However, we also understand the importance of focus and flexibility, so we support remote work when it makes sense - whether for deep work, personal needs, or just a change of scenery.
This balance helps us stay agile, creative, and closely connected, while giving everyone the space to do their best work.
At Factorial we don't evaluate you by years of experience but by your knowledge and skills.
We use our Career Path with a rubric framework where we define what is expected for each experience level and skill. This framework allows you to know your current level and what you need to keep growing. We love transparency, so our Career Path includes the salaries for each level, which we share during the first interview to ensure alignment.
Our Hiring Process
- Intro Call → Chat with our Talent Partner about your journey and goals.
- Hiring Manager Interview → Deep dive into your product mindset, teamwork, and problem-solving.
- Live Challenge → A collaborative technical exercise based on real-life problems.
- Final Coffee Chat → A relaxed conversation with our CTO & VP of Engineering to explore our vision, culture, and your growth.
The whole process is remote, using videoconferencing tools!

At Factorial, we're looking for a hands-on Engineering Manager to help us tackle our domain's challenges and ensure our product development reaches the next level. We want someone who enjoys making a real impact by working closely with the business.
As an Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for leading the development of your team while also being accountable for the health and growth of your product. 🚀
The Engineering team at large 🙌🏼

We don’t focus on a long list of skills and technologies. While our stack is Ruby on Rails for the backend and React/React Native for the clients, proficiency in these is not mandatory. We believe that good aptitudes and a hunger for learning work best!

- You have actively participated in hiring processes, bringing top talent to the organization.
- You are comfortable cooperating with other teams and building the fundamentals of service.
- When you disagree with a peer, you engage in a Socratic exchange, prioritizing finding a solution over winning arguments. You convince or get convinced.
- You have 5+ years of experience working as a full-stack developer or in a similar position.
- You have 2+ years of experience leading teams.
- You have a deep understanding of APIs (REST, GraphQL, and similar) and can create integrations with other backend systems.
- You believe that consistency, performance, quality, and scalability are more than buzzwords and have a deep real meaning that needs to translate into products and services.
Senior Product Manager
Hi! 👋
At Factorial, we're on the lookout for a Senior Product Manager who can drive product strategy and execution in a landscape where AI isn't a feature—it's how products get built, shipped, and improved. We're not bolting AI onto existing products; we're rebuilding with the assumption that AI is already here.
The Role ✨
You'll own a key product area at Factorial with full autonomy over strategy and execution. You'll move fast while keeping the long-term vision in sight. You should be a self-starter who thrives in ambiguity and knows how to identify high-value problems before anyone else does.
Here's the thing: most PMs manage features. You'll manage outcomes—including how AI amplifies user value. You'll work with an exceptional team of designers and engineers, and you'll help shape what modern HR software looks like.
What You'll Be Doing
As a Senior Product Manager at Factorial, you will:
- Own the product area: Define the product vision, roadmap, and key initiatives. Figure out where AI genuinely solves user problems—and where it shouldn't be forced.
- Lead AI-informed execution: Work closely with Engineering, Design, Data, and AI teams to bring your vision to life. Use AI tools to accelerate product decisions, user research, and iteration cycles.
- Evaluate AI impact rigorously: Build evaluation frameworks to measure when AI features actually work. Understand model limitations, hallucination risks, and what success looks like for AI-powered workflows. You're not shipping blind.
- Manage integrations strategically: Oversee third-party integrations and partner ecosystems. Balance build-vs-integrate decisions with a clear view of how integrations amplify your product's capabilities. This isn't afterthought stuff—it's core strategy.
- Collaborate cross-functionally: Partner with customers, Customer Success, Marketing, and Sales to deeply understand user needs and the HR space. Identify opportunities to create real value.
- Drive impact: Own business outcomes, product success metrics, and continuous improvement. You're accountable for results.
What We're Looking For
You're likely a great fit if you:
- Have proven experience in B2B SaaS Product Management (preferably 5+ years with at least 3 years of hands-on full-lifecycle ownership). You've shipped products, you understand Go-to-Market, and you know how to move through ambiguity.
- Are business-driven and obsessed with creating impact. You align product strategy with business goals and user needs. You think like an entrepreneur—you can spot hidden opportunities in compliance, pricing, or workflows, and turn them into scalable value for customers and Factorial.
- Are deeply data-driven, setting hypotheses and success metrics before each launch. You value measurable results and dig for insights when answers aren't obvious. You're resourceful with data and now, increasingly, with AI-powered analytics.
- Understand AI's role in product strategy (this is new, and it matters). You don't need to code or do ML, but you understand LLM capabilities and limitations. You can evaluate AI features rigorously, spot risks like hallucination or bias, and know when AI genuinely improves UX versus when it's unnecessary.
- Have a keen eye for design and user experience. You appreciate intuitive interfaces and love solving complex problems with simple, elegant solutions.
- Possess strong communication skills: You're confident pitching, influencing, and advocating for your product vision internally and externally. You interface comfortably with senior leadership and customers.
- Thrive in ambiguity: You're proactive, identify high-value problems, and develop actionable plans even when the path forward isn't clear.
- Have experience working with third-party integrations and platforms. You have strong technical intuition: comfortable discussing system design, understanding database flows, and evaluating trade-offs in performance, code quality, and integrations. You don't need to code, but you speak the language of engineers.
- Are comfortable with scaling processes and managing multiple stakeholders, proactively optimizing workflows—even beyond your immediate area of responsibility.
- Speak fluent English (additional languages such as Spanish, French, Italian, or German are highly valued).
Bonus Points if You:
- Have worked with HR tech or similar domains.
- Have experience in hyper-growth environments where things move fast and change is constant.
- Have hands-on experience evaluating or shipping AI-powered features.
- Have familiarity with integration architectures, API design, or marketplace dynamics.
- Have a solid technical understanding of how to bridge engineering and business.
Compensation 💰
The salary range for this position is between €75,000 (€60,000 fix + €15,000 based on performance, paid quarterly) and €87,500 (€70,000 fix + €17,500 based on performance, paid quarterly). We focus on skills and impact, not years on the clock.
How We Work 💻
At Factorial, we believe the best products are built when people come together—in person—to collaborate, challenge ideas, and move fast. That's why our Product team follows an office-first, flexible approach.
We work on-site several days a week (80%), using that time to connect, align, and innovate as a team. However, we also understand the importance of focus and flexibility, so we support remote work when it makes sense (20%)—whether for deep work, personal needs, or just a change of scenery.
This balance helps us stay agile, creative, and closely connected—while giving everyone the space to do their best work.
