Product Owner

We're looking for an experienced Product Owner to drive product vision, roadmap, and development for software products that meet customer needs and support strategic business objectives.

📌 Role overview

  • Reports to the VP of Product
  • Owns the software development lifecycle from planning through product release

🎯 Responsibilities

  • Work with cross-functional teams to develop and prioritize the product backlog based on business value, technical feasibility, and customer feedback
  • Define and communicate the product vision and roadmap to internal and external stakeholders
  • Coordinate SBA activities to ensure product documentation is delivered on time and with clear, accurate content
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure features are developed efficiently and delivered on schedule
  • Work closely with customers to understand their needs and use cases, and incorporate feedback into product development
  • Monitor product performance and gather customer feedback to support continuous improvement
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, customers, and partners to support successful product launches and ongoing adoption
  • Lead the software development lifecycle from planning through release

🛠️ Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field
  • At least 5 years of experience in product management or product ownership within a software development environment
  • Strong knowledge of Agile software development methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban
  • Experience developing and launching software products in a highly regulated industry, such as biotechnology, healthcare, or pharmaceuticals
  • Proven track record of launching and scaling products that meet customer needs and business objectives
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
  • Willingness to comply with and follow regulations required in highly regulated environments, including ISO standards and GMP regulations

➕ Nice to have

  • Experience working in a biotechnology or life sciences environment
  • Knowledge of GMP guidelines, 21 CFR Part 11, and ISA 88/95 for software products in the life sciences industry
  • Experience using data analysis and interpretation to inform product decisions
  • Understanding of software development best practices and technologies, including cloud computing, machine learning, and data analytics
