We're looking for a highly skilled Senior DBA/SRE Specialist with deep expertise in Microsoft SQL Server, Azure SQL Server, and Azure Managed Instance. This role focuses on performance tuning, architecture, and enterprise-level database management across on-premises and cloud environments.

🎯 Responsibilities

1. Design, implement, and manage Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server databases for high-performance applications
2. Perform database performance tuning, query optimization, and index management for SQL Server
3. Administer and support Azure SQL Server and Azure Managed Instance, ensuring security, high availability, and scalability
4. Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve database performance issues, replication failures, and security vulnerabilities
5. Collaborate with development and operations teams to optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and database structures
6. Manage backup and disaster recovery strategies, including replication, mirroring, and failover clustering
7. Implement database security best practices and ensure compliance with industry standards
8. Contribute to database migrations, upgrades, and cloud adoption strategies
9. Mentor junior database engineers and support knowledge sharing within the team

🛠️ Requirements

1. 10+ years of experience in database engineering, administration, and performance tuning
2. Strong expertise in Microsoft SQL Server (T-SQL, stored procedures, indexing)
3. Hands-on experience with Azure SQL Server, Azure Managed Instance, and cloud-based database solutions
4. Advanced skills in SQL query optimization, execution plan analysis, and performance tuning
5. Experience with high-availability configurations (Always On, clustering, replication, log shipping)
6. Knowledge of database security, auditing, and compliance
7. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in complex database environments
8. Strong communication skills and experience in stakeholder collaboration
9. Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate)

1. Experience with cloud-native database solutions and automation
2. Expertise in Oracle (PL/SQL, indexing, partitioning)
3. Experience developing and maintaining SSRS and SSIS solutions
4. Familiarity with DevOps, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and CI/CD pipelines for database deployments
5. Understanding of NoSQL databases and hybrid cloud environments
