We're looking for a skilled Senior Software Engineer, Backend (Card) who is passionate about building transparent, flexible payment solutions and revolutionizing the credit industry.

🎯 Responsibilities

1. Own and deliver quarterly goals for the team, leading engineers through ambiguity to solve open-ended problems and supporting them throughout delivery.
2. Collaborate with product management, design, and analytics during ideation, articulation of technical constraints, and decision-making processes that consider risks and trade-offs.
3. Proactively identify and advocate for solutions to project, process, technology, or business issues.
4. Support the operations and availability of the team’s systems by creating and monitoring metrics, escalating when needed, and participating in on-call duties.
5. Promote a culture of quality and ownership by setting or enhancing code review and design standards, and advocating for them within and beyond the team.
6. Mentor and develop team members through feedback and guidance, leading by example.
7. Participate in an on-call rotation.

🛠️ Requirements

1. 4+ years of experience as a software engineer, including designing, developing, and launching backend systems at scale with technologies such as Python, Kotlin, AWS, MySQL, and Kubernetes.
2. Experience shipping front-end applications.
3. Proven ability to define technical plans for significant features or components with simple and extensible designs.
4. Able to write high-quality, easily understandable, and maintainable code.
5. Experience making significant changes in large codebases, with tools and practices to ensure safety and quality.
6. Demonstrated ownership of personal and team growth, proactive in seeking feedback from peers, managers, and stakeholders.
7. Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with a global engineering team.
