We're looking for an experienced Android Platform Engineer to empower our mobile engineering teams with robust tools, scalable architecture, and seamless developer experience. You will build and maintain the foundations enabling fast, reliable feature delivery for millions of users.
🎯 Responsibilities
- Maintain and optimize Gradle configurations, plugins, and build logic for efficient, stable builds
- Enhance and improve CI/CD pipelines and local development workflows to reduce feedback cycle times
- Evolve and manage automated release processes, ensuring smooth, reliable deployments
- Define and standardize modular development patterns and best practices for Android teams
- Collaborate with engineers across platforms (iOS, Web) to align on tooling and infrastructure
- Manage and scale cloud resources, using AWS when necessary, to support mobile infrastructure as code
- Use metrics and monitoring to identify bottlenecks and guide infrastructure improvements
🛠️ Requirements
- Deep knowledge of the Android SDK and Kotlin
- Extensive experience with Gradle, including creating custom plugins and optimizing build scripts
- Strong focus on Developer Experience (DevEx) and process improvements
- Proficiency in debugging complex performance and stability issues using profilers and monitoring tools
- Demonstrated expertise managing large-scale, multi-module Android projects
- Hands-on experience with CI tools such as GitHub Actions, Bitrise, or similar
- Ability to script in Python and willingness to work with AWS infrastructure as needed
➕ Nice to have
- Experience with Gradle Enterprise (Develocity) or developing custom Gradle plugins
- Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) or AWS management
- Background in Developer Experience (DevEx) or Mobile Infrastructure roles
- Experience with managing design systems from an infrastructure perspective (such as theming engines or token automation)

📋 Hiring Process

- Expertise Interview – Assessment of technical skills and delivery abilities (60-90 minutes)
- Stakeholder Interview – Evaluation of cross-functional collaboration skills (60 minutes)
