We're looking for a talented Internal Systems Agentic AI Engineer passionate about eliminating manual tasks and driving innovative digital solutions for internal business processes.
🎯 Responsibilities
- Design and implement Agentic AI solutions that improve scalability and efficiency of internal systems and support services.
- Drive data modernization efforts, including standardizing and migrating data from legacy systems to AI-ready, modern architectures.
- Act as a bridge between technical teams and business units by analyzing, mapping, and defining requirements for digitalization initiatives.
- Collaborate globally with teams across IT, business processes, and science backgrounds to enhance internal tool services while upholding high standards for data integrity, privacy, and security.
- Independently solve complex problems using experience and sound judgment, managing projects within established procedures and limited guidance.
- Stay informed about organizational structures, key drivers, processes, and products to fulfill project responsibilities effectively.
🛠️ Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 3-5+ years of professional experience in software engineering, computer science, automation, or a similar technical role.
- Expertise in designing stateful, multi-agent workflows with cyclic reasoning patterns and self-correction loops.
- Experience architecting secure interfaces for agent integration and third-party API interactions.
- Proficiency in implementing long-term memory architectures and retrieval systems for persistent context.
- Ability to build automated pipelines to trace agentic workflows and measure output reliability.
- Strong skills in developing production-grade, asynchronous code for handling non-deterministic agent behaviors and robust error recovery.
- Excellent command of English (written and spoken); German language skills are a plus.
- Flexibility to collaborate across multiple time zones (primarily CET and PST) as required.
- Willingness to travel occasionally (up to 1 week, 1-2 times per year) to other locations in the US or Europe.

- Experience migrating data from legacy systems to modern, scalable architectures.
- Background in the Diagnostics industry or highly regulated environments such as Pharma or MedTech.
- Familiarity with Design Control and formal system engineering/product development processes.
- Knowledge of enterprise platforms, such as SAP S/4HANA, and HR/Learning systems (e.g., Workday, Cornerstone) with experience in workflow automation and data extraction.
- Understanding of R&D tools like electronic Lab Notebooks, LIMS, and asset management systems.
- Hands-on with Large Language Models (LLMs), agentic AI frameworks, or conversational AI interfaces (Chatbots).
- Familiarity with cloud-based data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake) and cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Ability to communicate complex technical findings as actionable business insights for non-technical stakeholders.
