We're looking for a talented Internal Systems Agentic AI Engineer passionate about eliminating manual tasks and driving innovative digital solutions for internal business processes.

🎯 Responsibilities

  1. Design and implement Agentic AI solutions that improve scalability and efficiency of internal systems and support services.
  2. Drive data modernization efforts, including standardizing and migrating data from legacy systems to AI-ready, modern architectures.
  3. Act as a bridge between technical teams and business units by analyzing, mapping, and defining requirements for digitalization initiatives.
  4. Collaborate globally with teams across IT, business processes, and science backgrounds to enhance internal tool services while upholding high standards for data integrity, privacy, and security.
  5. Independently solve complex problems using experience and sound judgment, managing projects within established procedures and limited guidance.
  6. Stay informed about organizational structures, key drivers, processes, and products to fulfill project responsibilities effectively.

🛠️ Requirements

  1. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
  2. 3-5+ years of professional experience in software engineering, computer science, automation, or a similar technical role.
  3. Expertise in designing stateful, multi-agent workflows with cyclic reasoning patterns and self-correction loops.
  4. Experience architecting secure interfaces for agent integration and third-party API interactions.
  5. Proficiency in implementing long-term memory architectures and retrieval systems for persistent context.
  6. Ability to build automated pipelines to trace agentic workflows and measure output reliability.
  7. Strong skills in developing production-grade, asynchronous code for handling non-deterministic agent behaviors and robust error recovery.
  8. Excellent command of English (written and spoken); German language skills are a plus.
  9. Flexibility to collaborate across multiple time zones (primarily CET and PST) as required.
  10. Willingness to travel occasionally (up to 1 week, 1-2 times per year) to other locations in the US or Europe.

➕ Nice to have

  1. Experience migrating data from legacy systems to modern, scalable architectures.
  2. Background in the Diagnostics industry or highly regulated environments such as Pharma or MedTech.
  3. Familiarity with Design Control and formal system engineering/product development processes.
  4. Knowledge of enterprise platforms, such as SAP S/4HANA, and HR/Learning systems (e.g., Workday, Cornerstone) with experience in workflow automation and data extraction.
  5. Understanding of R&D tools like electronic Lab Notebooks, LIMS, and asset management systems.
  6. Hands-on with Large Language Models (LLMs), agentic AI frameworks, or conversational AI interfaces (Chatbots).
  7. Familiarity with cloud-based data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake) and cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  8. Ability to communicate complex technical findings as actionable business insights for non-technical stakeholders.
