We're looking for a motivated Junior Backend Engineer - Data Ingestion who is eager to grow technical skills and support the development of high-throughput data processing systems as part of an experienced team.

🎯 Responsibilities

1. Develop and maintain backend services for a data ingestion platform with guidance from senior engineers
2. Apply and support strong engineering practices including writing automated tests, participating in code reviews, and supporting observability
3. Collaborate actively, propose improvements, and deliver clean, testable code for platform services
4. Participate in technical discussions and contribute to internal documentation and knowledge sharing
5. Contribute to infrastructure development tasks and present your work in technical demos
6. Shadow on-call rotations and assist in troubleshooting incidents to learn response protocols
7. Learn to maintain and utilize observability solutions (metrics, logging, tracing) for tracking platform SLOs and availability

🛠️ Requirements

1. Strong foundational backend development skills, preferably with Kotlin or Java (with willingness to learn new languages as needed)
2. Exposure to data storage solutions such as PostgreSQL, RDS, or S3
3. Basic knowledge of containers (Docker) and willingness to learn Kubernetes
4. Familiarity with infrastructure as code concepts (e.g., Terraform or similar tools)
5. Interest in learning about CI/CD pipelines and modern automation tools
6. Understanding of testing pyramids, with experience writing unit and integration tests
7. Exposure to at least one observability or monitoring tool (such as DataDog, Prometheus, or Grafana)
